Why does the bar soap crumble upon cutting it?Updated a year ago

While our Pure-Castile Bar Soap can be cut into smaller pieces, as the Bar Soap ages, there is a possibility that it may crumble. Because freshly made bar soaps retain more moisture, they are much easier to cut without crumbling versus an older bar of soap. 

However, soaking the entire bar soap in water may help soften the soap a bit before cutting and prevent crumbling.
