Why does my Organic Lip Balm feel grainy?Updated 11 days ago

Beyond the natural variability of our organic ingredients, if our Organic Lip Balm (a combination of different fats with varying melting points) melts and resolidifies, the fatty acids present will harden at different rates. This can form crystalline (hard) structures, resulting in a gritty texture. 

While our formula is designed to prevent this grittiness, we've occasionally seen it in products that have been exposed to warmer temperatures. Unfortunately, this isn't really something we can control in the manufacturing process, as these temperature fluctuations often only occur during storage of the balm after purchase. However, rest assured that texture variations are natural for organic balms such as ours.
