Why did Dr. Bronner's prices increase?Updated 4 months ago

We understand that budgets are tight and that shoppers have to spend their dollars wisely. You should know that the price margins on our products are actually razor thin, and the cost of our products reflect the organic, fair trade, purpose-driven nature of our ingredients, meaning, that fair wages and fair prices are paid throughout our supply chain. 

When companies make products cheaper, someone somewhere is paying the cost, usually communities in developing nations, where farmers and laborers work for pennies in unsafe conditions while their environment is rapidly degraded. We choose not to externalize costs in this way, as our commitment to organic and fair trade are the values upon which our brand was built and the principles that will always remain. 

Lastly, our Pure-Castile Soaps and Sal Suds are really concentrated and extremely versatile! In particular, our Pure-Castile Liquid Soaps are 2-3x more concentrated than any other liquid soap on the market, with our Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner being more concentrated yet!
