Which products are best for sensitive skin?Updated a year ago

Although our soaps have not been tested to see whether they are noncomedogenic, they have been used for many years with great success by those with sensitive skin.

We've heard from many customers with skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, oily skin, or general skin sensitivities on how our Unscented Baby Castile Soap and Tea Tree Castile Soap worked wonderfully for their skin. The unscented soaps in particular are a great option for those with many sensitivities who are unable to use our scented varieties. These products have no essential oils and contain almost double the amount of olive oil, making it milder and more hydrating than the other scents.

Our Organic Sugar Soap also offers a more moisturizing experience. The first ingredient in our Sugar Soap is organic sucrose, which is a natural humectant that draws moisture into the skin and hair. As a result, this soap tends to be a bit more hydrating than our classic Pure-Castile Soaps. Sugar Soap also contains shikakai powder, used in India for centuries as a gentle conditioner for skin and hair, making it ideal for washing hair (remember to use an acidic conditioning rinse).

Another great product that can be used on dry areas of the skin is our Unscented Organic Magic Balm. Moisturizing your skin is also important, so we recommend following up with a daily moisturizer that you may already have and using our balm on those drier areas.

Because everyone's skin is unique, it can be challenging to find the right product. We encourage customers to be mindful that individual reactions can vary and to first try any product on a small area of your skin, to be sure that it works for you.
