What is my Organic Sugar Soap's shelf life?Updated 10 days ago
Our Organic Sugar Soap has a 3-year shelf life from the date of manufacture and a 24-month shelf life after opening (POA). The manufacture date is represented by a lot code on the bottle.
While our Sugar Soap doesn't have an expiration date, for the best quality, we recommend finishing your product within 3 years of the manufacture date, or within 24 months of opening, still before the 3-year mark.
How to read our Julian Dates:
The lot codes for our Sugar Soap are written as Julian dates, making them quite easy to read once you know how. You can always find them printed on the bottom of the bottle. (Example shown below)
There are three different formats in which our Sugar Soap lot codes can be listed:
- Two groups of numbers separated by a dash (ex: 2113312 - 24241)
- Two groups of numbers separated by a space (ex: 24241 8567)
- One large group of numbers (ex: 242412113312)
Rest assured that all three formats read exactly the same. The first two numbers of the code represent the manufacturing year (ex: 24 = 2024, 25 = 2025). The following 3 digits represent the day of the year that the soap is manufactured (ex: 24241 = August 29, 2024).
