What do I do if my Hair Rinse has separated?Updated a year ago
As our products are made up of organic raw materials, variability is expected and causes each batch of Organic Hair Rinse to be a bit different almost like wine. Each year has its own nuances, and crops can vary season by season. We’ve come to embrace some level of variability as it showcases the behavior of natural agricultural ingredients.
Dr. Bronner’s Hair Rinse is a unique product to add to your hair care routine. Formulated in 2009, our hair rinse consists of two main parts: an acid and a soap. These parts work together to not only tamp down the cuticles in your hair but also to cleanse and moisturize hair for a silky finish.
However, as the acid we use, lemon juice, has a low pH of 2-3, it will begin to break down the soap causing some consistency changes and separation in the bottle. If you encounter this, we recommend shaking or mixing the bottle vigorously to return it to its original consistency. While this reaction is natural and unavoidable, rest assured that our hair rinse remains equally safe and effective.
