What do I do if my Hair Rinse has congealed or separated?Updated 11 days ago
Our Organic Hair Rinse is a unique product that consists of two main parts: an acid and a soap. These parts work together to not only tamp down the cuticles on your hair but also to cleanse and moisturize hair for a silky-smooth feel.
However, as the acid we use – lemon juice – has a low pH of 2-3, after roughly one year, it will naturally begin to break down the soap, causing some changes in the consistency and separation.
While congealing or separation in our Hair Rinse typically indicates it's nearing or past its one-year shelf life, if you encounter this, try shaking or mixing the bottle vigorously to return it to its original consistency. This doesn't always work, but it can help bottles that are beginning to thicken.
Although this reaction is natural and unavoidable, rest assured that our hair rinse remains equally safe and effective throughout its entire shelf life.
