While both oils are derived from Oil Palms, Palm Kernel Oil is derived from the seeds of the Oil Palm, while Palm Oil is derived from the fruit.

Because they have different fatty acid profiles, they serve different purposes in soapmaking. Our updated formula uses Regenerative Organic Certified® palm oil. In order to maintain the same overall performance, rich lather, and quality our customers expect and trust, the soap was formulated to address the differences in Palm oil versus Palm Kernel oil so that the fatty acid composition of the overall oil blend of Coconut/Palm/Olive, specifically related to levels of Oleic Acid, remain the same.
