Tea Tree ExtractUpdated 10 months ago

Concentrated liquid derived from the aromatic parts of tea tree plant such as flowers, roots, leaves or other parts of the plant using a special process called steam distillation.

What we call “tea tree extract” on our ingredients list is tea tree oil. The reason we must note it as an “extract” on our ingredients list is because it is not organic. We print “Made with Organic Oils” on the packaging of all our soaps, which implies that anything listed as “oil” in our ingredients list is in fact organic. Due to huge price spikes in the organic tea tree oil market, we are currently using conventional tea tree oil and calling it “tea tree extract,” allowing us to keep our central organic claim.
