Is Dr. Bronner's All-One Toothpaste tested for heavy metals?Updated a month ago

Yes! Based on third-party testing, our toothpaste meets all relevant governmental safety guidelines for heavy metals in toothpaste products. Our toothpaste is also intended for use in small amounts and is meant to be rinsed out and not swallowed, which further reduces the possibility of unsafe levels of heavy metal exposure. Toothpaste is unlike products such as baby food and water, which are supposed to be ingested.

It's important to note that trace amounts of heavy metals are frequently present in products made from natural and mineral ingredients. Even certified organic whole foods—such as sweet potatoes, carrots, and spinach—can contain trace amounts of heavy metals.
