At the beginning of 2023, we discontinued our White Kernel Regenerative Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) because our customers generally preferred our Whole Kernel VCO. Our Whole Kernel VCO is also more sustainable to produce, generating less waste during manufacturing.

The only difference between the two oils was that our White Kernel was produced from the coconut kernel after the parings had been removed, while our Whole Kernel is pressed from the whole coconut kernel, including the brown parings— i.e., the soft inner skin—left on. As the White Kernel required more of the coconut to be trimmed away, it produced more waste and was less efficient to make, despite having the same flavor, nutritional value, and shelf life as our Whole Kernel.
