Can I used Sal Suds to wash my body?Updated 11 days ago

Our Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner* is a mild detergent (not a soap), which means it consists of some synthetic ingredients. We formulated it as an all-purpose hard-surface cleaner made of plant-based surfactants and scented with natural spruce and fir needle oils.

As it's a detergent and specifically intended for household cleaning, we don’t recommend using it to wash the body. While it's not toxic and perfect for tasks such as cleaning the dishes, keep in mind that our Sal Suds can be drying to skin or cause irritation for those with skin sensitivities.

If you're looking for products specifically formulated for use on the body, try our Pure-Castile Bar, Pure-Castile Liquid, or Organic Sugar Soaps, which are all excellent at cleaning your skin, hair, and even your face. For more details on the difference between our Pure-Castile Soap and Sal Suds, head over to Lisa Bronner’s blog post Sal Suds or Castile Soap – Which to Use?. Lisa also has an incredibly handy Sal Suds Dilution Cheat Sheet that you may find helpful.
