Can Dr. Bronner's All-One Toothpaste be used by kids?Updated 19 days ago

While we don't make a toothpaste specifically for children, rest assured that our All-One Toothpaste is safe and effective for children 3 years old and up. However, due to the organic menthol in our toothpaste formula, it’s not intended for use by babies or children under 3 years old.

It’s important to note that the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends using a child-appropriate toothbrush and only a grain-size amount of toothpaste (the size of a rice grain) for children aged 3. We also strongly advise that you consult your dentist before using any toothpaste on young children (ages 3-5).

We've heard that some flavors of our toothpaste might be more pleasant for children than others. Our spearmint or anise flavors tend to be a hit with kids, as they’re perceived as sweeter and less invigorating than our peppermint.

Although our toothpaste does not contain any harsh synthetic ingredients, we still don't recommend swallowing this product. For younger children, it’s always best to supervise while instructing good brushing and rinsing habits to minimize swallowing.

For any specific health concerns, we always encourage consulting with your child's dentist or physician to be on the safe side, as they can help determine which products may be more suitable for your child.
