Are Dr. Bronner's products soy-free?Updated a month ago

Both our All-One Toothpaste and Organic Hand Sanitizers contain glycerin sourced from non-GMO soy. However, these are the only products we manufacture that contain soy or soy-derived ingredients, and none of the other products we manufacture include this ingredient, nor are they produced on equipment shared.

In the past, our glycerin was sourced from organic palm oil and palm kernel oil, but since 2018, it has been sourced from organic, non-GMO soy. The source of our glycerin can change depending on the supply and availability of raw materials.

Although the glycerin used in these products is derived from soy, the products themselves are considered soy-free. Soybean oil, or any other refined vegetable oil, is broken down to form free fatty acids, proteins, and other unsaponifiables, as well as glycerin. While our supplier attests that there is no soy in the glycerin, we suggest avoiding these two products if you have any soy-related health concerns, to be on the safe side.

If you have any health concerns, we always recommend consulting your dermatologist or physician, as they can help determine which products may be more suitable for your body.
